Do u think it would be romantic to buy my gf some Mary Jane's & carry her books from school while barefoot?

I was thinking of pretending we were in a Norman Rockwell painting. I could buy her a pair of Mary Jane shoes, some stockings, and a summery dress. Meanwhile I would just walk barefoot along side of her and carry her books home from school. Any girls think this would be a fun dating idea?
