Why does my car make this noise when car is rolling?

The sound is in some way linked to the speed of the car. the faster I go, the louder it gets. It sounds to me like metal on metal spinning (maybe a bearing) By the time i get to about 60 MPH it is so loud i cant hear the radio. I know this is a lousy description but I can not pinpoint the sound and looking for ideas.
