Frankenstien(Book) question?

we need to do a project on the book Frankenstein. we need to write an essay from a different characters point of view during the time when victor was building his creature. i wanted to do it from the point of view of victor's asistant which i thought i read about him having, but i cant find it in the book anywhere. could someone show me in the book,if it's in there, where it talks about victor having an istant?
