Why can't atheists leave religious people alone?

i mean not all of us are mean only the extremists, we do good things we contribute to charity and make hospitals and schools and are as normal as any person, but God forbid we worship something and then we are suddenly stupid swine who attack every body, i am not saying all atheists are like that, yes religions bicker and fight but it still doesn't give you the right to insult and make fun of us so why do it?
