Opinions please? This guy is weird...?

There is this guy in my cl and he used to pick on me a lot...he used to say a lot of rude things to me last year and we would always bicker back and forth with each other...some times he would say things that would make me mad...this year he is a lot nicer to me..he is not near as mean to me and we still crack jokes on each other but it is a lot more playful than it used to be. We laugh with each other but we don't talk that much other than joking...every time i see him now i will say something funny to him or he will say something funny to me...If i am talking to someone i will see him occasionally looking at me or he will find a way to join in on the conversation..I have really started to like him and i don't know if he is being nicer to me because he likes me or he is just changing..what do you guys think?
