What is the best way for me to start?

I plan to start my own tutu head band bows, handmade clothing store/site but I don't know where to start it. Should I go with myspace and just add as many people as I can to get it going or should I post on craigslist or ebay? Which would get me a better outcome? I could start with both myspace and craigslist. Is that a good idea? I plan to have my own website down the road but it takes a lot to set-up and I don't want to do that unless I know I can make some money at it. I may also try a few stores in the area to see if they will sell my stuff. I'd eventually like my own store that is my products plus second hand stuff.
