Thoughtful gift or act when a friends sister dies?

My neighbor is a good friend and her sister died unexpectantly last night. I want to do something thoughtful other than a card. What would be a thoughtful, respectful gift or action I could do. I know she wants to be alone right now. Is a small plant with a card on her doorstep appropriate? Any other suggestions? Thank you.
